Resume builder FAQ
Common questions about our free AI resume builder — ATS templates, importing, job keyword match, cover letters, and PDF export.
How do I use AI features?
Open the resume builder and use AI actions where available — improve bullets, generate a summary, get job-match tips, or create a cover letter. AI runs on the server; no setup is required for you as a visitor.
Is Resumight free?
Yes. You can build resumes, use templates, AI writing help, job match, cover letters, and download PDFs for free.
What is an ATS-friendly template?
ATS (Applicant Tracking System) templates use a simple single-column layout, clear headings, and plain formatting so automated scanners can read your resume reliably. Look for templates marked ATS.
Can I upload an existing resume?
Yes. In the builder, use Import to paste resume or LinkedIn text, or upload a previously exported JSON file from this app.
How does the job description match score work?
Paste a job description and we compare keywords against your resume content (skills, experience, projects). It is a helpful checklist score, not a guarantee of hiring outcomes.
Do you import directly from LinkedIn?
LinkedIn does not allow easy one-click private imports for most apps. Instead, paste your LinkedIn About/Experience text into Import, and we will map what we can into the editor.
Where are my resumes saved?
Drafts save on this device. When you are logged in and open a resume from the dashboard, changes save to your cloud account.
Can I create a cover letter?
Yes — open the Cover letter page. Start from a blank letter or pick an editable example, tailor it to the job, then download a PDF. You can also match it with a resume from the builder or templates.
How do I print my resume?
In the builder, click Print. Use your browser print dialog and choose Save as PDF if you want a printed-style file of the on-screen preview.
